Only one hour from the Windhoek International Airport, and a similar distance from the
capital city Windhoek, Leopard Lodge is the ideal location for visitors.
The lodge is surrounded by the Namibian highland, with hills and valleys all around,
supporting a large variety of game species.
The main building of the lodge was built in 1928 out of local stone, and the guest bungalows
have been constructed in a similar style. Beautiful old trees and a lovely garden surround
the buildings. For individual travelers, a family group or a hunting party, the lodge
provides a friendly, relaxed atmosphere, and personalized service.
All rooms have a daily cleaning and laundry service, with electrical outlets (220V). The
lodge has mobile phone reception, with fax and email available.
There are a lot of activities on offer, apart from the large swimming pool with a lovely
view of the surrounding bush, we offer table tennis, tennis, bush walking, pony rides for the
children, target shooting, and of course game drives in our open game drive vehicle.
The special attractions are our spotted hyenas and crocodiles in the dam nearest to the
lodge. Guests can experience a close view of the hyenas at feeding time, and the crocodiles
from the safety of the vehicle.
Hearing the hyenas at night is a wonderful African experience, that you will remember for
years to come.
The lodge manager, Eric Muller, is born in Namibia, and speaks English, Afrikaans and
German. He is also a Professional Hunter and has a lot of knowledge about the African bush
and the animals. Under his guidance, you are sure to experience memorable game drives, and
evenings around the fire, where barbeques are prepared. His wife, Michelle, is an
Australian, and enjoys hosting visitors from all over the world.
